2006 // JACCC: Canti-Flat /
--
Canti-Flat is an experimental installation structure seeking maximum antigravity affects with minimum surface converge and thickness. The project celebrates flatness, exploring the reading of both 2D and 3D in the same environment to produce a sense of ambiguous compression. It is an overall large panel (9’x6’) arranged by two different tiling systems and configurations. Canti-Flat is fabricated as a painted aluminum structure and wired with powerful LED lights that illuminate the ground-scape. The project was sponsored by James Irving Foundation and exhibited in the JACCC George J. Doizaki Gallery.
